While our consulting work with clients is customized based on their individual and organizational needs, the following are examples of how we go about meeting these outcomes:
Strategy Formulation, Planning and Coaching – Strategy formulation and planning is our raison d'être and one of the most popular services at Spyglass Strategies.
Organizations and individuals struggling through current and potential challenges often benefit from an outside perspective and analysis. With this service, we define challenges, set objectives and organize a plan of action. On an ongoing basis, we hold clients and/or stakeholders accountable to ensure they meet those objectives. The most amazing part of this service is that as we collaborate with clients, we collectively find ways to overcome obstacles and barriers that would otherwise appear insurmountable.
Organizational and Cultural Development – Do you ever hear you or your managers saying one (or more) of the following:
"I can’t find and retain good employees"
"My employees are driving me nuts"
"They don’t do what I tell them to do"
"I’m so sick of the tension and personal issues my employees are having. It’s like a soap opera here!"
"My employees need too much handholding and can’t work independently"
These statements tie to the number one difficulty we hear from most people in management and leadership positions: Finding and engaging employees to enthusiastically perpetuate the mission of their organizations.
We work with clients to build an “ownership culture” where the vast majority of employees are excited and engaged in helping their organizations succeed. As Jack Stack has said in his book, The Great Game of Business, no competitor can beat you if all employees are enthusiastically engaged in growing the organization.
Education and Training Program Design
- In alignment with the above services, Spyglass Strategies designs and orchestrates instructional programs that empower employees and stakeholders to meet specific organizational objectives. This work includes analyzing organizational goals, performance challenges, preparing instructional objectives and managing training outcomes.
Franchising and Expansion Development
- We work with companies to design expansion methods that best fit the organization’s goals and culture, whether it’s franchising, internal corporate expansion, joint ventures, strategic alliances or proprietorship partnering. Whether it is a U.S.-based firm looking at nationwide expansion, or international brand looking to expand into the U.S., we conduct research and feasibility studies on our client’s competitive position.
Management - The most effective form of improving organizational performance is to optimize underlying processes to reach more efficient results. This has become even more critical in recent years thanks to social media and other communications forms that allow rapid sharing of information to thousands of people instantly.
"Prior to working with Tim, it was easy to stick with the status quo and be complacent with existing ways of conducting business. What I failed to notice was that my work day had become a process of reacting to daily issues and firestorms, with little time for a long-term organizational and personal focus.
Through working with Tim’s Productivity and Leadership System, I was able to achieve two objectives. One, I was quickly able to properly address strategic challenges and initiatives in my business. In addition, Tim helped devise methodologies for delegating critical aspects of my work to other employees.
The result? The hours spent in my company have dropped to an average of 25 hours per week from 65 hours previously. The additional free time gave me the opportunity to startup a new venture I’ve always wanted and awarded me more time to spend with my family. Truly a win-win situation!" Chris Zammito, President
