Examples of Work
The following are some samples of the type of work we conduct with clients.
The Challenge - How Best To Expand Successful Chain: A fast-growing regional restaurant chain received a coveted “restaurant concept of the year award”. The challenge: Requests from restaurant investors came in all over the country wanting to open locations all over the country. The challenge? How does the company manage potentially out-of-control growth.
Action and Result: We strategized on various alternatives to growth. Developed strategic plan that allowed for rapid corporate growth while maintaining the integrity of the brand.
Challenge - Managing Too Many Commitments: An entrepreneur in the car industry is facing multiple demands on his time and energy resulting in long work weeks (65-70 hours) resulting in little movement towards new initiatives and ventures.
Action and Result: Executive coaching service resulted in time spent on existing business reduced to 25 hours from 65 hours per week with more free time for family and new ventures.
Challenge - Designing Professional Training in Fractured Industry: A large professional services firm in a fractured industry needs to develop franchisees and corporate employees for expansion into new markets.
Action and Result: We designed learner-centered curriculum and training materials based on organizational outcomes. Employees and franchisees were able to expand more rapidly in new markets with fewer challenges and wasted time.
Challenge - Stagnant Chain: An underperforming restaurant chain was stagnating at 25 locations and faced the challenge of declining profit margins. Satisfaction among franchisees and other expansion partners were threatening to sabotage growth.
Action and Result: Put together organizational plan to support franchisees and aid in future expansion. We instituted a mystery shopping program in place to monitor service quality. Franchisee satisfaction increased and company grew from 25 to 100 units within 3 years.
"Tim and his Learner-Centered Approach proved critical in the successful expansion of our company. His ideas and educational tools engaged our employees and franchisees so that they retained key knowledge over the long-term.
One of Tim’s greatest strengths was his ability to rapidly discern and assimilate what truly matters to the success of our company in ways that even industry veterans might miss. " Sandy Ferraro, President
